Modernization of telephone communications continues

on . Posted in news

It is a known fact that automatic telephone exchanges (ATE) have long been widely used by many enterprises, organizations, institutions and companies. And no wonder, because communication is one of the most important elements in organization of work, building a business, and ATE provide an opportunity to do so without significant cost in time and money.

Modern means of communication not only solve many problems within the company or organization, but also make the process of exchanging information much more comfortable and mobile. Telephone communications are constantly evolving, and communications equipment manufacturers now offer many new equipment with more features. For example, digital ATEs with IP-telephony support. Their advantages are better signal quality, new features and service functions.

Digital ATE is a modern telephone exchange in which switching and control are fully digital, which allows infinitely expand its list of functions and features. The signal coming from the primary source is digitized and transmitted within the ATE and between automatic telephone exchanges in digital form. This is a guarantee of no attenuation and minimizes interference, regardless of the length of the signal path. The flexibility of digital ATE is that by changing the configuration of the software, you can create a system with a wide range of functions, depending on the needs and requirements of the enterprise.

The most popular subscriber services, which provides a digital ATE are call forwarding, dialing in short, setting the call on hold, the connection with a busy subscriber, number identification, conference call.

IP-telephony is a telephone communication through Internet, using the IP protocol. IP-telephony means a set of communication protocols, special equipment, software, technologies and methods that provide traditional telephone functions: dialing, call completion and two-way voice communication, as well as videocommunication over the Internet or other IP-networks. The channel signal is transmitted digitally and is usually converted before transmission to remove excess information and reduce the load on the data network. The main advantage of IP-telephony is the reduction of communication costs.

And now I will tell you about the work that has been done in this direction recently in the divisions of AMMC. In 2019, according to the Program of Priority Measures for Reconstruction and Stabilization of Production Facilities of Almalyk MMC JSC, the Research and Production Association for the Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys, the copper complex and the ZP modernized the internal telephone communication system: three large IP stations with a total capacity of over 3,200 numbers were installed. This allowed to improve the quality of communication and to abandon the use of copper trunk cables, replacing them with fiber optic, which is much cheaper. In the meantime, these stations have shown themselves well in operation. This year it is planned to modernize telephone exchanges of the Executive Office (EO) of Almalyk MMC JSC and neighboring objects: the railway station “Kalmakyr”, Railway Transport Department-1, Industrial Railway Transport Administration, Transport Shop #1 of UVD, Trade Union Council of the plant, Cultural Center “Metallurg”, Capital Construction Management, Administration, the building, where there is a number of departments of EO (mining, geological, surveyor) and others, the total capacity of 1855 numbers.

Last year, 9 modern telephone exchanges with small capacity were installed in the plant’s subdivisions in Tashkent and Namangan regions: Chirchik Mine Group - four stations for 296 subscribers, Angren Mine Group - three for 600 numbers, Mine Construction Department - two for 64 subscribers. I would like to note that not only has the number of subscribers increased here, but the outdated coordinate exchanges have been replaced by digital exchanges.

In the remote subdivisions of AMMC, local specialists - Sergey Kim, Acting Head of the Communications Sector of the Production Automation Service of Research and Production Association for the Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys, Zafar Nimatullaev, Chief Power Engineer of Angren Mine Group, and Solijon Fayzullaev, Master of Communications of Chirchik Mine Group - rendered great help to the team of the UAP Communications Shop. Bekbolat Kaliev, a software engineer at the UAP communications shop, does a great deal of work on the development of each project’s technical specifications.

Summer vacations are approaching, and we’re about to install two modern ATEs in the Metallurg and Istiklol children’s health camps.

The staff of the communications shop will continue to work on improving telephone communications in AMMC divisions, which will allow more new opportunities for subscribers.
